Anyone using Tourmaster Synergy Heated Gear?
« on: November 03, 2009, 02:14:13 AM »

Has anyone tried Tourmasters Synergy heated gear. The product description sounds good and I like the fact that the controllers are included with the items. My Widder stuff has seen one to many winters.
Thanks for any reviews.

Look at gerbings new micro wire, says it heats to 120 degrees in 4 seconds.

I decided to try the Tourmaster Synergy Heated Gear and purchased a package deal of jacket, pants and gloves for $412.00 total. The controllers are included with the gear so there is no additional items you need to buy. I just took a 300 mile round trip and left home at 3:30 AM with temps in the mid 30's. The stuff worked great. The one feature that I had my doubts about, the controller that straps to your left leg, turned out to be an excellent design. The large buttons with the LED display makes it a snap to adjust the heat settings or turn on or off while riding, even in the dark. The high setting kicks ass, used low for most of the trip. This is the main control and will control jacket, pants and gloves when all are being used. If you choose to use the gloves or pants alone, a separate controller is provided for each. The glove controller attaches to the right glove and is easily adjusted with the left index finger. No more searching for the control box with its tiny knob.  :2vrolijk_21:
