United States Marine Corps
« on: December 03, 2009, 09:24:09 AM »

Are we all owners of the finest and most expensive motorcycles on the planet?  Our lives are great aren't they?  Unless there is snow right now...  Anyway, give something back this year.  This is a terrible economy and the needs are greater for so many.  A great way to help is to go out and get just one $10.00 toy and drop it off at a Marine Corps Toys for Tots drop box.  It's for the kids.

Thanks!

Your right, many if not all of us on this board are very blessed and I think we could fork up 10.00 to help the kids. Great idea, thanks for posting.  :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3:

Never had that detail when I was in the Corps however, I have donated for many years.  Lately I've been focusing on those that get forgotten....the kids that are a little older, to old for a stuffed toy or whatever.  I think back over the years and just don't recall anything for the adolescents and pre-teens. :nixweiss:

Another way to give back this year is to go the the Sgt. Grit website www.grunt.com, for anywhere from $10 to $40, they will send off a Christmas box to a Marine in Iraq or Afghanistan. Instead of exchanging gifts with our family this year we are all sending boxes thru Sgt. Grit to someone putiing their life on the line for us. It's the very least we can do. Semper fi

hell do both!  Although it's a little lat cause them boxes should have been sent a while ago.  But we send boxes out regularly.  Since I have been there twice, I send what I would want and need.  I also spent 200 at KMART and got 51 toys.
