First, congrats on the new scoot. Second, while you are flying by on the fastest SEUC5 I will be taking it easy on the BEST looking SEUC5 and picking up the ladies along the way. Have a fast ride, hahahaha  :sauer024:

muddypaws, I had an 09 blue/silver, great bike. I hope that this new one is as good. As we all know none of these are FAST!! That's what my V Rod is for, that's FAST!
But the dealer told me that the red was the fastest, we all know that the dealers always are right!!!! LOL!!
In any event, I'm glad to be back on a SEUC!

Hey Mr. D
If I might ask, what made you get rid of the Tri Glide?
I'm 'bout to the point I need to be on a trike. I've got around $55,000.00 in my 07 seuc. I don't want a stock bike or trike either. Can't decide which way to go. Turn my seuc into a lehman trike (that' who Harley went with for their trike) or sell mine, buy a tri glide & start all over again with the mods (& loosing money again). Also Harley could come out with a setg. That would work good for me. but who knows when or if that'll ever happen. I'm leaning towards triking mine, I like the thought of the new frame but don't want to loose 30 grand to get it. what's your opinion?

Texas,,
I was looking forward to the Tri Glide, and there are some very good things about them. I probably should not have bought the 1st year, as with anything. The rear brakes are less than they should be as far as stopping power, squeaking, wear. I like most of us have been riding a long time and know how to stop a motorcycle, but the rear brakes a not acceptable to me, having said that the 2010 TG has different rear brake calipers and master cylinder, so obviously the MoCo felt a change was necessary. The electric reverse is not worth having, circuit breaker pops with any type of incline. This is a $1200.00 option.
I would have to say after owning a 07SEUC, and a 09SEUC then the TG, if I had to do it over again, I would convert the SEUC, more HP, Torque, I would not go with the electric reverse, there are many better options available.
I would also RIDE both independent suspension and straight axle, Lehman is a fixed axle, I am not saying one is better than the other, BOTH have trade offs, but if you are going to invest that amount of $$ make sure you have ridden both.
At the end of the day, it's all what you like, I can only share my experiences, and I was FORTUNATE to sell my TG, without taking a FINANCIAL POUNDING!! I dodged the bullet.
Good luck with whatever choice you make,, Ride Safe, and God Bless,, Tom

Linny, I imagine that I will end up with another trike, at some point. The Tri Glide was a good learning experience, now when I decide to do it I have  a much better idea of what to go with. I know for sure that a Trike needs more power than a stock 103, after riding our SEUC's. I hope that my experience has been helpful to you.
I hope you and your family have a Very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year, Tom

My dealer even complained about the Tri Glide brakes when I ask him what he thought of it, he also did not like the straight axle.  From the guys I know that own trikes of any make, they all recommend independent over straight axles.

Good to know, someday I may want three wheels you never know.
