Anybody heard of "One Stop Motors"
« on: December 16, 2009, 06:53:27 PM »

I guess they saw my bike advertised on Craigs list and they have contacted me about listing my bike with them. Here's the deal. I send them $500 and they advertise my bike thru about 25 different venues. If the bike doesn't sell in 180 days I get the full $500 back. I send them up to 12 pictures. The pictures are on every advertiser's site. The reason they say they can sell my bike is that they can get financing for potential buyers. The financing is what they are pushing when advertising my bike. I can believe that financing is a major motivator. So this makes sense. Of course HD will finance my bike for anyone. But people looking at my bike don't know that. Anyway, I have looked at their web site and it all sounds legit. Therein lies the problem. Good scams probably all sound legit. Maybe I'm just not very trusting. If I knew for certain I'd get my money back if the bike doesn't sell, I would jump on this. For sure, tomorrow, I will check this company out. In the mean time, has anyone heard of them? Opinions?

Sounded like a scam to me too. I got the same phone call from these people the day after it listed. Mine sold in 5 days from Craigslist. Or you could try a few forums or EBAY

Give them a counter offer...  Sell my bike in 180 days and then I'll send you $500....

I'm guessing they will turn down the opportunity... :nixweiss:

Don't you just love MF that makes a living running scams off hard working people like us. I put these guys right up there with the Dealerships that charge over MSRP.  :soapbox:

They will do NOTHING for you that you cannot do yourself.  You can advertise financing available.  $500....... tell them to advertise a bridge.  Run My CVO Brother, Run!

Absolutely do not send them any money it is a total scam.  I have had vehicles for sale on Craig's list and get more scammers than buyers.  If you send them the money you can kiss it goodbye.  I prefer to sell on E bay or local.

No cash advance to anyone.  I sold 2 bikes on eBay Motors and I recommend it.
