Happy Boxing Day everyone!!! :2vrolijk_21:

Boxing Day is a bank and public holiday in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Greenland, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Nigeria, Jamaica and countries in the Commonwealth of Nations with a mainly Christian population. In South Africa this public holiday is now known as the Day of Goodwill. Though it is not an official holiday in the United States, the name "Boxing Day" for the day after Christmas has some currency among Americans, particularly those that live near the Canada – United States border. ;)

I say Happy Boxing Day to all as well :pepper:  With all the family gatherings to get to on bothsides of the family on Christmas day it is just too busy to do it all in one day  :-\  So Diane and I are having Christmas Dinner for Her and My Kids today :2vrolijk_21:  I put the Turkey on at 10:00 this morning and the house smells great. :pepper:

in Switzerland Boxing day is "Stefans Tag" or ""zweiter weihnachtstag" (2nd xmas day)""  what other names is it called in different countries

Boxing day is a zoo in Canada, and the busiest shopping day of the year. People line up for hours and sometimes overnight to get the best deals on just about everything but mainly electronics and clothing. (Best Buy, Future Shop and the likes) Most stores have boxing day blowouts to liquidate any product left over from XMAS stock. Stuff is marked down up to 75%. 
I just hunker down with my Christmas Coronas and stay away from the masses as there are always reports of fighting over products and stampeding people. (So much for the Christmas Spirit) :nervous:
