Really does suck.... I thought all the newer bikes had a GPS tracking chip in them? Then again, it won't be the first time I thought wrong about something.

Mine got it, not a chip but a device with a mobile sim inside and it was also laced with two high security chains, unfortunately professional thieves have duplicate keys of all padlocks (in my case they stole also the chains!) and devices which interfere any GPS so they can “work” free. Police told me that now they are receiving a lot of reports of theft about Harley Davidson in Rome, they suspect that a professional band are operating here and the stolen bikes are exported. It seems also that some hacker found a simple way to crack the VIN number in the memory, after that some other bastards have a system to grind up the numbers from frame and engine and to rewrite them as original! Maybe the optional pager can help, in my case I am sure that the siren started up because I found in the garage a piece of plastic becomes from it, probably thieves removed and cracked it when it started screaming, I didn’t hear it, I just was sleeping because it happened probably between 3 and 4 am, maybe if I got pager beside my bed I could wake up at the first signal…. Maybe! Next bike will have pager. Thanks a lot to all of you guys for your support!!!
