Andrews 26
« on: January 23, 2010, 10:52:55 AM »

I am going to the '06 upgrade, plate, oil pump, tensioners, chains and bearings.  I was talking to my indy and he recommended putting the Andrews 26 cams.  He  said it would not require any headwork.  We are putting in adj pushrods and new lifters.  Not looking for high speed just reliability.  Don't know anything about the 26's and don't see them referenced here, that I know. of.

Doing this to my 2000 SERG.

Any comments or suggestions, would be appreciated.

Thanks,

john

Thanks, Brad.

My guy says he has great results in the baggers that he has put them in.

The 26 has been a popular bagger cam, not much more lift than stock 06, more overlap lets it run cooler

I have the TW26a in my 03 RK.  Good improvement over stock, better roll on, mpg stayed the same. Dyno 73 hp 89 tq.  Cam comes on 2000 - 4500 rpm, right where I use it.

Very good low-mid range cams.
Don't push 'em much past 9.6 cr.

Had them in my 06 and was extremely pleased.  Really woke the engine and the exhaust up and also had a moderate aggressive idle.

Thanks, for everyone's comments.  I ordered the parts, including cams from Jenni last week.

I have this cam in my 01 Roadking. I had head work done with a 95 kit......I could tell the difference and did not compromise the  reliability. Enjoy......Jeff
