I just had the 1K service performed on my bike, and would like to add better pipes and a breather - after a bit of looking at the SE Catalog and web sites I was wondering if anyone has experience with the following -

1) SE Pro Super Tuner (Mapping recommendations appreciated as well)
2) V&H Power Duals with V&H Monster Ovals
3) SE Ventilator OR SE Heavy Breather

Also, any data on dyno testing with these combinations or other recommendations would be much appreciated. The bike is awesome but could definitely use a better sound and a bit more power.

Take a look at this if you want, I am running that stuff  ;)

I just did the following at 1200 miles after the 1K service.

SE Race Tuner
VH Header pipe
VH True duals
SE Heavy Breather

The dealership had just done the same bike with the VH power dual and was very interested in the results with the true duals.

On the dyno
115 ft #/torque
98 HP

These numbers were both interestingly stronger then the power dual.  :apple:

Look at the dyno curve then decide. Off idle to 3k where you are at most of the time. Tells a better story than peak.

:2vrolijk_21: The true dual will be better up top where as the power dual will give you better bottom end.

Here were the results

Max Torque @ 3500rpm
Mx HP @ 4500rpm

I really like the look and sound of the true duals but I do understand the power dual is supposed to give you superior performance.  She is put to bed for the winter (I am in MN) but hearing it Saturday made me want to bust it out!

IMHO  I would suggest a tuner such as the TTS vs the SE version.  The SE Heavy Breather is a solid choice.  If you looking for the best results? I would consider a 2 into 1  pipe like a D & D Fat Cat vs any true dual.  Like I said, IMHO

I have the following set up and very pleased at this point. The bike has not been dyno'ed due to waiting till 5000 miles. I notice better throttle response and top end torque. The bike has all the bottom end torgue anyone would need just stock and this set up did not effect the bottom end that I can tell.

 HD-SE Breather
 HD-SE Race Tuner
 VH Power Duals
2" Fullsac Cores in stock mufflers

I bought the bike 5 weeks ago with 9 miles on her and now she has 1500 and climbing.
