Some of you know I put a
Baker DD6 in the bike last year.
The DD6 gives an approximate RPM drop of 400 compared to stock in high gear.
Like the factory gear set I always found myself "hunting" for a gear change, mostly on the back roads, in town and in areas like the Dragon.
The Baker comes with a 28T comp sprocket. Optionally available is a 27 tooth.
This one tooth reduction changes the RPM drop to about 200.
But, it lowers the overall effective gear ratio.
I like it!
28T sprocket with the HD auto adjuster.
Baker recommends against using the auto adjuster but could give me no valid reason as to why.
So I left it in there. Wear on the shoe looks to be about the same as the original adjuster I took out 2 years ago - it looks good.
