January in Denver
« on: January 18, 2010, 10:36:02 PM »

Had to go out to Denver for a few days of business meetings. The fun part was getting to stay a few extra days with my best friend from college. The bonus was a few days of warm weather, one of them being Saturday. We popped the garage door on his stable of Honda's (9 in all) and broke out a few of the fuel injected ones.

I got to ride the 1800 VTX. Nice riding bike and even red like mine. It was a great treat to be able to ride after a few months of looking at bikes covered in my garage. Temps were in the high 50's.

We went up to the Red Rocks concert venue about 10 miles from Paul's house. Great views back to Denver and a fantastic place for concerts.

Paul rode his newest bike, the 1300 cc Fury. Rode it out at Sturgis this year. Very nice ride.

The pride of his collection is a virtually new Rune. Think it has about 300 miles on the odo.

Also a few classics, 2 CBX's, a 750 and an early model Gold Wing. They ain't CVO's but they represent some of the best from Japan and it was a great pleasure to put some miles on during a time I wouldn't normally get to ride. We got in about 80 miles through the foothills. Got to get back out there in the summer!

If he ever wants to sell the Valk Tourer, or the Rune....... please let me know.

Sorry guys, but these are GREAT motorcycles. If you have never owned,
or ridden one, don't make any stupid statements!

I love all kinds of motorcycles.

Jock was thinking he would have seen more snow on the ground...

Nice...I will be going there in mid-July for work and am considering a ride or trailer over there to ride...
