Has anyone ever matched any powdercaoting colors to the Burgundy on the Triple red screaming eagle road glide?
Thanks
Dave

Colors for powder coat are almost endless now. Take a part you want matched to a good powder coater and it should not be a problem.

The red 2000 Road Glide's color names are "Midnight Red" for the darkest color, "Luxury Rich Red" for the middle shade and "Tudor Red" for the brightest red.  You won't find any powder colors with those exact names but if someone is matching from chips it might help as both the Midnight Red and the Lux Rich Red are in the PPG books.

The Midnight Red nor the Lux Rich Red will show up in the 2000 model year books for the Road Glide though.  That's "CVO" and hands off.  Lux Rich Red was commonly used on many bikes for several years and shows up a few times.  Midnight Red shows up in the 1998 books as the 95th Anniversary color.

Just walked out to the shop and shot this comparison pic for you.  It's the red I used for all the powder work on the Road King project but it's also a pretty good match to the Luxury Rich Red (predominant color) on the classic triple red Road Glide.  In good light it's just a tiny bit darker and a tiny bit more cherry.  But it's close.

It's also a two stage.  So application makes a bit of difference.  If I ever get the urge to redo some black frame or bracketry from the Road Glide and powder it red it's what I'll use though.  I know how close it is and it satisfies me.
