New 2-1-2 Header for the SERG
« on: February 03, 2010, 11:13:44 PM »

After a solid 149 HP and 132tq Dyno run with a Pro Charger and a stock header minus the cat, Its time for some improvement. Jamie at Fuel Moto handed me his new Jackpot 2-1-2 and asked me to bolt an another 5HP. I have seen several dyno runs now with this pipe on several other bikes and it makes the power as advertised. I'm adding ceramic coating first and then it's back to the dyno. I am impressed with the stainless construction and fantastic tig welds. I'm looking forward to the 150's!  :drink:

Thanks for posting.  Does the FM headpipe use the OEM pipe running under the bike?  Looks like the bottom pipe after the exhaust looks smaller, maybe ot keep the TQ up.
I don't have a SE bike, but an 09 RG w/ stock non-cat header.  So just trying to decide if just a new X-pipe from any of the companies (FS, FM and VH) is worth it.

Ride safe and have fun on that bike of yours (need to add a nice backrest so your not sucked off the back!!)

I JUST SWITCHED MY 08 SCREAMER FROM TRUE DUALS TO THE V&H POWER CHAMBERS AND CAN TELL YOU FIRST HAND THAT YOU WILL PICK UP HP BUT LOOSE TQ. THERE IS A DISTINCT HOLE IN TQ CURVE BETWEEN 3000 AND 3800 RPM BUT THAT IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF ALL 2-1 PIPES.

Fastest way to loose power is pull a spark plug wire...second way is installing a "true dual" exhaust. Dyno's don't lie! I did make the "true dual" mistake back in 07 and found out what color tail lamps are. Anybody that claims any improvement in power from a "true dual system" has a problem with drugs or imagines the noise surely is making it faster! And yes Grillfish the cross pipe is your stock unit. The Fuel Moto Jackpot pipe was designed on the dyno and will perform with dyno numbers to back it up, plus it is stainless steel. They also make a 2 to 1 pipe. :drink:

I have these headers on my 09 SEUC and they are fantastic. Reall reduce the heat apart from excellent performance improvements.

I have the Jackpot header from FUEL MOTO off to the ceramic shop. I know you guys are wondering how good this pipe is. Jamie finished up a 103 Limited with this pipe and a set of woods cams. The result was 100hp/107tq. Thats equal to other postings for the 110 inchers. stay tuned... :drink:

Ceramic Coating from Professional Plating inc. in Brillion WI. $150.00 and they included the cross over no charge. Very nice job from a very professional company. This is the second pipe I had coated this year. http://www.proplating.com/  :2vrolijk_21:
