Fullsac baffles without re map
« on: February 17, 2010, 04:36:50 PM »

Getting mixed signals regarding replacing stock baffles in '09 SERG. If just the stock baffles are replaced with fullsac 1.75 or 2.0's, do you need to remap?  I've been told that any changes in air flow will lean out the mixture even more.  I've also been told that if you alter the exhaust and re map and at some point have a warranty issue the module will show the MOCO that it was altered and thus void the warranty.  Any truth to this?

The truth is whatever your dealer decides. Depends how close of a relationship you have with them.
Your stock bike will richen/lean your mixture (among other things) to try to get their target numbers under changing conditions.

You don't "have" to remap, but, it would sure be advised. If you change the program in the ecm with Mastertune, you can always change it back to factory OEM settings, thus, no "changes" show.
I have still not figured out what the factory "Stage 1 download" does! Other than raise the rpm limit!!
Maybe someone can elaborate on your question?

Stage 1 download also slightly changes the timing curve.  Absolutely no change to fuel map on '07 and above.

Thanks for the clarification!
