FXSTSSE3 - Front/Rear tires replacement options
« on: February 28, 2010, 06:13:10 PM »

Hello!

I would like to know what tire brands/models would fit as replacement to the original mount of my CVO Springer 2009, and which one do you recommend.

Original rear dimension : 240/55R18 78V
Original front dimension : 130/70R18 63V

Thank you in advance for your support

Greetings    Laurent

One strange thing, on the HD site the original mount reference for the rear tire is the dimension mentioned above (240/55R18) but I can't find any tire catalog referencing such tire dimension.

For example on the Dunlop site they recommend 240/40R18 for the CVO Springer 2009 http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.com/fitmentguide_print.asp?fitment_id=1306.

Any help on this rear tire dimension ?

Thank you in advance

Greetings   Laurent

better look at your back tire again... your mixing 2 different sizes... its either a 200/55x17, or a 240/40x18... as long as the weight rating is the same as stock, any of the major brands should work OK... the weight rating is that number with the speed rating, like 130/70x18 63V
