Headlight Trim Rings
« on: January 18, 2006, 09:31:02 PM »

Just wondering if any of you have put trim rings on the headlight and passing lamps of your '06 CUSE?  I'm thinking about the new Visor style when my Haze comes in.  Anyone with and pictures with the Visor style on their bike?  Or maybe the Frenched style?  Thanks guys.

I have installed the Visor style trim rings on my 06 Black & Slate. They look good and easy installation. I'm very pleased with the look. Best yet, Momma likes them, so I am OK.
Sorry no pics right now, bike is at dealer dealing with paint issue. Should get back next week, maybe. When I do will post pics.

Got HD visors on mine. They look good except the headlight visor won't close all the way at the bottom. I've had the damn thing off/on 5 times! Torques me off to have such a fine scoot and not be able to get the trim ring to look right. I understand that Kuryakyn or Drag specialties has the same style visor that DOESN'T go over the stock trim ring. :'(

Don't feel alone mines is the same way. Must be a MoCo thing, you know another one of those things that they don't want to make exactly right. :-/

Hey SEULTRA, that ain't bad as what just happened to me.......I'm changing out a failed passing lamp, and trying to get that little bullet looking nut on the screw that holds the trim ring together, dropped the little chrome nut and my dog promply eats it.  Now, I've got a good assortment of nuts, but none like that.  So, what's that little bugger called, anyway?   [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  Aaarrggh!  >:( spyder

Well there is a way you can retrieve that nut if you so desire. [smiley=nixweiss.gif] It will require you to follow dog around with a screen. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]
