Not sure if you mean you want to increase the rev limiter setting, or if you have a problem with the tach not registering properly.  If you want to set the rev limiter, you can do that in the software.
------------------------------------
To Configure Rev X-Tend
Some models of Power Commander V allow you to increase the maximum RPM above what the stock electronics allow.

1  Select Power Commander Tools Configure Rev X-Tend.

2  Select the Enabled box to enable or disable Rev X-Tend.

3  Click OK to accept the changes.

Or
Click Cancel to close the window without changes.

IM A LITTLE CONFUSED. THE PC V IS ONLY MEANT FOR 09-10 YRS, IF YOU ARE TRYING TO USE IT ON AN 07 I DOUBT IT WOULD WORK . DYNO JET TOLD ME I COULD USE ONE ON AN 08 FL AS THEY HAVE THE SAME PCM CONNECTOR AND PIN LAYOUT. 07 IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PCM AND WIRE HARNESS. I HAVE PUT SEVERAL PC V'S ON LATER FL'S AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. YOU SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT PC FOR YOUR MODEL?

I believe he has it installed on an '09 SERG.  And I seem to remember someone else making the same comment about the tach not registering over 5k rpm after installing a PC, but my search on the site hasn't found that other post my feeble brain tells me is out there somewhere.  If we keep bouncing this thread back up to the top maybe that other person will see it and chime in.

WTS, have you tried calling DynoJet directly and asking them about the problem?  I don't see that situation mentioned on their FAQ area of the web site, or in the installation manual.

In odered for anyone to extend the Rev Limit above stock with an add-on box you have to lie to the ECM about the RPM. When you do this on the later HD's that causes the Tach to only read the value that they are lieing to the ECM with. The way to fix it is to get a real tuner that controls the ECM directly. Then set the Rev Limiter at the desired speed in the ECM.

OR, for those who already invested in the PC, disable the rev-extend in the PC software and revert to the stock 5800 rpm limit.  With stock valve timing, the extra 400 rpm is just wearing the engine out quicker and not producing real benefits.

PCV has an enable feature for the tack to read beyond 5800 in the software. It's easy to forget to set it. grc is right on. Time to consider cams.  :drink:

Just a little FYI, PC V will work on any Delphi bike as long as you have the right ver.  Depends on year and model to get the right plug.  Dynojet doesn't promote them because they haven't tested them for earlier models, yet.  That was the company line I got while in Vegas at there offices for PC V training few weeks ago.  I can tell you I have installed and mapped over 100 PC V's on 02 thru 07 bikes as well as newer bikes.  PC V offers a lot of options you don't get with other tuners.  It has the hub built in for quick-shift add on, as well as allowing you to run 2 maps with just a added switch.  Also can map by gear, which means separate map for each gear as well as each cyl, and a ing map for each gear and cyl too.  so you can tune out pinging will leaving the line, under full load, but add that timing back while in other gears.  I can go on and on.  Most buy it and just load a map.  DONT DO THAT.  Have it tuned.  No one ever considers the altitude where this map was created.  It matters a lot.  All the maps on Dynojets website are made in Vegas.  They have 2 guys how map test mules with different pipes and etc..  or they are submitted by someone somewhere at a point in the air above sea level.  Some things else is that if you do build a bike with the need for more then a 6200 rpm limit they will send you an unlock code for 6700.  Anything above that you have to send a dyno chart showing the bike still climbing in numbers when it shuts off.  Dealers can send in for these codes.
