What I have learned from the friends gained from this great forum/site....
I have yet to meet anyone from here I didn't like, or truly consider a GREAT friend. Amazing if you think about all the members that have spent time with Donna and I.
With that said, I have to relate some recent examples:
Coming home from Morro Bay in central California recently our starter failed on the last gas stop and the bike needed a push start, no problem here as Ernie, Marty, Roger, and Chris were behind the bike before I asked. By the time we got home I had 3 offers of a free started that members had sitting in their garages! I accepted the first offer, the one from Ernie, yes I wanted to go chrome, but the $$ is just not with us at this time. It gets better! Melanie was also with us that day, well, she works for a very large shipping company ( see Cast Away ) and she and Roger shipped the starter next day at no cost! How is that for friends!!!
Well, last Monday I rode over to Marty's for some last minute stuff on his bike before his East Coast trip. First thing he says as I ride into the garage, "your not going to believe what I found up in the rafters" and proceeds to pull out the ladder. Climbs up and hands a very large box down to me

What's this? It is a seat I had gotten for my 03, but I never used it and forgot it was up there?

Holy leather Batman! This is the seat I have been looking for since we got this bike in 2005!
No pulling your leg here, this is the seat that puts me about 1.5 inch closer and 1 inch lower! As many times we have spent the day with Marty and Paula at their home I could have sniffed this out, but no! So Marty hands me a $400.00 seat and says put it on, and don't you dare think about giving me a cent for it.
I am at a loss here, how does one repay friends like this?
I Love This Site!
