Do you have a set of "Rumble" pegs to sell? (09 SERG). Looking for a pair to move to the engine guards as highway pegs. Thanks, John (john.sabatka@basf.com).
Unlike what I did for my '08 SERK, NO, no extra parts this time.
When I bought my '08 SERK I asked my wife if she wanted the running boards and she said no. So I bought a set of Ironside pegs and mounted them as highway pegs. A couple weeks later after a long ride, she said that she had reconsidered and would like me to get the adjustable running boards. So at that time I had over $150 in the highway pegs and then upwards of $600 in the adjustable running boards and ended up with an extra pair of matching pegs.
On the '09 SERG, I transferred the adjustable running board upgrade from my traded in '08 SERK and just ordered the Rumble collection winged inserts. I actually think I paid about $210 for the pair of inserts. Anyway, that let me use the rear pegs up front and I have nothing just sitting in my parts drawer.
There is a link above for the Rumble Collection, but I'm sure the '09 / '10 SEUC came with the winged Rumble inserts and Rumble highway pegs. So if nothing else, just look in that part of the parts book for the part numbers.
I do like having the adjustable rear setup rather than the fixed setup. Both allow height adjustments per the frame three holes, but the adjustable allow you to swing forward, rearward or angle the passenger's running boards for added comfort and if nothing else, sometimes just a change of pace for your BSR riding position.
