Ive read about the new x pipe  here , and i know its good  for 4-5 hp and they say u can feel the torque difference, I kinda want one. If cost is an issue, you could always exchange your stock headpipe with Fullsac's exchange pipe that has the cat removed.  This a pretty reasonable alternative.

I'm rather impressed with my X-pipe. Steve said it would enhance your throttle response and low end torque. It did but at the same time I flashed his TTS stage 1 map. Could have been the map difference too. (1.75 cores)

What I do know is the X-Pipe simulates a 2-1 header. I also know a 2-1 header is best for keeping your torque curve up at low and mid range. Not being  HP junkie, this is what I was looking for. After tweaking the TTS map I still have that throttle response and seat of the pants "ya need to hold on tight" feel with 43.3 MPG.

Cams would be next but I'm very happy with the set up now and don't plan on changing.

thanks  mr wizard , i just ordered a tts from steve with a new map for my 106  ,  he's out of the x pipes so ill have to wait, he also said the tts will bring back the throttle response like the cable bikes had,  fuel moto carries their version, dont know if its as good, they say it is they are out of them too.  ill wait for steves pipe,
