motolights
« on: March 18, 2010, 04:21:08 PM »

Really have enjoyed the Road Glide, & will never go back to the E. Glide, however I was never really satified with the front end visability... the motolights have solved that problem, pics, attached in following posts.

Yep, been running them for a couple of years.  I think they are the best front end solution, but do more to be seen than to see.

Would be better if we could swivel them left/right as well as up/down...

How difficult to mount?  Are these bolt on and plug and play or is there some wiring to do?

The best thing to do is to order direct from Motolight and explain what model and year bike the lights are to be mounted on. They will send the correct wire harness  adaptor to tie into the accessory switch if that is how you want to run them. I had the whole kit come in and Southside Harley in Virginia Beach installed mine.(I don't remember how much they charged since it was part of the setup when new.) The mechanic says it was an easy install. Basically its bolt on the lights and run the harness and plug it in then adjust the lights.

The system is "plug & play" install can be done in 45 mins.,  highest quality parts I have ever received, but that was expected at the price level.

The windshield is a Cee Baliy  11 1/4 inches from trim pc. over the radio to the top of windsheld @ 6foot works great for me.

Customer service is also impeccable.  I called today and described what my problems were, and a box of replacement parts was on the way for merely the price of shipping.

My intention was to be better "SEEN" than to see better, I don't ride much after dark anyway.   Again great product. :2vrolijk_21:
