And way to keep driving lights on w/ hi-beam
« on: March 30, 2010, 05:08:17 PM »

Friend just got a 2010 SE Ultra and wants his passing lamps to be on with his hi-beam... How can he do that w/o cutting (if possible)

Remove the power wire from the unused fender tip light connector and put it in the passing lamp switch feed connector.

I don't think you can do this since the cruise/passing lights are the same switch.  Since they added the central locking system, the passing light switch is the same as the cruise.

I would like to know also if someone has done this.

Since you can have the cruise on when the high beams are on, there should be 2 input power wires to that switch. One for the cruise and one for the spots.  The one for the spots comes from the high beam feed at the headlilghts.  Just swap it out for the tip light feed that is not used.

These wires that go to the cruise/light switch go thru a module first about the size of a satellite puck under the ignition lower fairing where all the switches go.  Did not work for me.  (did what you are talking about on the 05 with no problem).

Go to the Road King Riders Forum (on Delphi).  When you get to the start page, there are several articles on how-to's.  There is a link to instructions and pictures.

No need to go elsewhere.  t's been covered here in a few threads.  Here's one of them:

Here's the original (I think) with the diagram:

I'm sure D00d will add a few more.  He loves to show me up in the search arena.  ;D  :2vrolijk_21:
