Ordered New Shield for my SERK
« on: May 05, 2010, 02:13:12 PM »

Well I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a new wind shield for my SERK.
I bought a 17" light gray Clearview with the recurve. They said I should get it
the first week of June. Looking forward to see what it's like to ride without
getting bugs in my teeth.

Put mine on a few weeks ago. Works great you should be very happy with it. Now I need to find a way to mount some speakers to it. LOL. :D

I have a 2008 SERK and the wind buffeting at times gets annoying. Do the larger shields help with the buffeting and what brand?

Thanks

I have not received mine yet. I purchased the 17" light gray tint with recurve  From ClearView Shields they give a 10%
discount to CVO members. Lead time is 3-5 weeks this time of year.

Rottenrodger,

I'm curious how the 17" is working for you. Is the wind going over your head now?

Thanks

I was just at JP  and Clock Werks was advertising a shield similar to Clearview . It also puts pressures on the front end at speeds so more traction. They will have the shield at Sturgis and will be selling the shields then. Billy Looks good

I think an 18" shield would have been better for me than the 17" , but it is a huge difference over the
short shield. I put close to 3k on the bike right after the installation and I'm happy with the improvement.
