Yeah, but they only work once and it's a little messy to clean up.

A lot of good things have been mentioned so far. First go ahead and get a quality system and have it professionally installed. Invisible Fence BRAND invented the technology and is the best in the business. Everything else is an imitation. (They may look like a Harley but when you start them up, they are not really a Harley!) Your dealer will train you and your dog and back their product if you hold up your end of the following;
Keep the collar snug... You can hook the utility power to the receiver but if it does not touch the skin nothing will happen!
Keep the battery fresh.
Keep the collar on the dog at ALL TIMES! If Fluffy learns that it does not work (correct) every single time she will teach herself to challenge the fence. Dogs are smart!
Periodically reinforce the training.
 Remember Wallyworld = Suzuki
 Invisible Fence BRAND = CVO Harley!
Yes, I'm and IF Brand dealer :2vrolijk_21:  Send a PM and I'll be glad to spend some time to help you out.
