Highway peg advice on 08 SERK
« on: August 13, 2010, 08:33:52 PM »

Ok, so I have some extra money that I'm going to put towards highway pegs and would like some advice.  I'm 6'2" with a 36" inseam and if I put my feet almost straight forward, the sole of my boot is even with the engine guards sitting on a corbin dual tour seat.

I'm looking at the Adjustable Highway Peg Mounting Kit short version (50830-07A) or long version (50829-07A) with the Ironhorse pegs to match.

My main question for those of you that have them is how long are the long and how short are the short?  I'm not looking to stretch much forward, just outward so I can relax and stretch out on the highway.

Thanks,
Mike

I'm 5' 10" and have the short mounts.  Get the long ones.  I put the stock rear pegs on the highway mounts when I put passenger boards on.  The highway mounts work, but I still use the stock crash bar more.

Maybe a little late to help out...I am your height and have the 'Adjustable Highway Peg Mount- 360 degree' part 50832-07A
on both my '04 RK and '08 FLHRSE4.  Because they are so adjustable for 'reach', I even put them on my wife's FLHRSE4.  Available from surdyke.com for $93.17 vs the $109.95 MSRP.
