Help me decide on saddlebag direction (multiple choise!)
« on: April 25, 2010, 11:20:53 AM »

Ok,

Want to change up my Anniv 08 SERK for this year...

I have a Corbin seat covered in Alligator (get many compliments) and want to continue the madness...

I have seen color matched hard bags here and at my dealer and the are nice,  but lacking something.  I can also cover the lids of my stock bags in alligator (with a tail tip running down the top) for a decent price, OR get a set of beatup hard bags and cover them in leather and alligator on top...

Thoughts,  comments,  harassment??

I think you'll look just fine on that Buell.  ;D

You didn't mention any limiting factors like money (must be nice), so I'll assume all options are equal.  I think the best approach is leather covered lids on a painted-to-match set of hard bags.

If your happy with the leather bags, cover the lids. That would be a one of a kind look.

If you want more space and they can be locked, go with your last option.

Since I've done it I have to say color-matched hard bags...    :2vrolijk_21:

One benefit to the hard bags that I didn't think of until after the fact is that you can lock them and get the keys to match.  I know they make locks for the leather ones but it didn't seem very sturdy to me and they looked overly complicated to install... (never tried it though)...

Get your checkbook out if you hard bags with color-match...  :o
