TTS Communication Problems

Needed to load an update for my bike and having  communication issues between my laptop and the bike... I've done ALL of the normal checks, Com port, re-connecting cables, re-booting, making sure USB driver is assigned properly, etc... Still keep getting this error: "No Response was received from the ALDL adapter" 

Besides a bad cable (i cant imagine that being it) but what else am I missing??

I've used this exact same laptop/cable combination before with no issues.

Any ideas??

Can't recall the exact error message I received when I forgot to put the engine run/stop switch in the 'run' position.  Something simple to check.

Yep... checked that one. I really checked, double checked, and checked again all of the logical simple stuff... still the error.  May check some of the Nor Cal guys to see if they have a cable I can borrow to double check that.

It's possible that you may need to Restore the original factory calibration, then upload the calibration you're trying to install.  My experience is that if an existing calibration becomes corrupted, TTS will not let you load a new calibration unless you restore the original factory calibration first.  I've had to to this!

That error is telling you that it cannot talk with the bike. Make sure and check you fuses as well as the interface gets it's power from the bike.

Got it working... and I don't EVEN want to fess up as to why. ;/    Let's just sat communication works better when the dongle is connected.   ???
