Speaking of "reminder" devices and on the subject of fuel gauge. How about the "big, bright" low fuel light we have. ::) [smiley=nixweiss.gif] By the time you realize it's on you start to wonder how long it has been on, and hope you reset your trip meter at last fill up. [smiley=nervous.gif]

Amen to that! Maybe it should have been a flashing red led light. That would get the riders attention.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

I agree and maybe in a different location too for those of us who travel at 55-65mph the needle covers the light. 8-)

So since we are talking fuel, what kind of mileage are you getting from 06 FLTHCUSE

I have SE Pipes, Hi Fow & the HD Race Tuner.  I am getting 38 to 41 on the road 2 up.

Thanks

I don't know what kind of milage I'd get riding easy, but on my trip to Laughlin and back (920 miles), I averaged 25 mpg. BTW, I saved all gas receipts and double checked.

That's about the same for me, start worring at about 150.  I just filled up today after a 2 up ride, 4.7 gal for 169 miles, so thats like 36mpg.  Guess I'm ok.  It's interesting because we ride with another UC that has the 95" kit and Rinehart True Duals and he pulls high 40's on the road 2up.  Of course my license plate is   SCRMN06

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this in the past, but maybe if I repeat it a few more times the folks at the MoCo who monitor this site might get the hint (yeah, right).  SWAP THE LOW FUEL AND HIGH BEAM INDICATOR LOCATIONS!!!  If the low fuel indicator was a big ol' red or yellow light sitting between the turn signal indicators, you couldn't miss the sucker. Oh yeah, for those H-D fellows, while you're fixing this issue, how about giving us an accurate gauge to go with the relocated low fuel light?
