I sent my stock pipes for an 09 Ultra SE to Fullsac and had 2" cores installed. The service was fast and the quality was great, I could not tell that anyone had touched the pipes. I removed the heat shield's and end caps before I shipped in order to prevent any accidental scratches. The sound is a deep rumble at idle and when you get on it but they do tone down at cruising speeds. I would compare the sound to Reinharts in loudness but without the high screaming pitch when you get on a Reinhart. The sound on the Fullsac's has a constant deep rumble that I never get tired of hearing.

I am still running the stock head pipe with the cat. My next mod will be a HD high flow intake and a remapping which will be required. My last mod will be replacing the head pipe but at this point I am still undecided although the new head pipe that Fullsac is expected to have available later this month is a favorable choice since it will accept stock heat shield's.  My decision to do the mods in three different phases is so I can document any noticeable performance changes and heat reduction each mod contributes.

In the past I have always installed after market pipes, high flow intake, and remapping but I really do not know what each mod contributes.

After I did just a remap I noticed slightly better performance and a cooler running motor. I am also waiting for the Fullsac headpipe to come out.

How about some chrome heat shields for those nice pipes that will look better than the H-D shields?

Installed the 2.0 inch baffles on Chitlin's new SESG yesterday.  Used the dremel with a grinding stone to remove welds on stock baffle--worked well and was easy to avoid damage to muffler body.  Left the stock packing in the muffler, drilled 1/4" hole 1 1/2" from end and installed new baffle using a wood block and hammer to drive baffle in.  Did 200 mile test ride and am very happy with the sound!  Sounds like Rinehart duals but not quite as loud (and I don't think Rineharts are too loud).  All went smoothly and everything went back together perfectly---mostly due to the advice and shared experiences here on this website!  This forum has been a very valuable source of information, but I haven't yet decided what tuner to use.  I think the guys at the HD dealerships have been told to always recommend their own product, and one service manager told me he didn't like the PC because it added more "connections"!  Two others told me the PC has a high failure rate due to moisture.   Right now, I'm leaning toward the Zipper's Thundermax w/ autotune over the PC V w/ autotune because of space, so it will probably be the Thundermax or the HD supertuner.  But first I will install the Vance & Hines Power Dual headpipes--which I chose over the Fullsac "B" headpipes mostly because I don't really like the looks of the stock heatshields.
