Saddlebags and Matching Trunk w/Buffalo insert
« on: July 04, 2010, 09:21:43 AM »

Am I crazy for expecting the matching trunk to fit on the bike along with the saddlebags?  The detachable bracket and trunk cannot be put on while the saddlebags are attached or visa versa.

Has anyone found a way to use both at the same time?

I bought a spacer kit and put on the top two saddel bag spacers only. It works great. I'll look up the part number and post later.

The kit I used was 54245-10. I took out the top two stock spacers and replaced them with the longer ones from the kit and mounted the assembly with the longer bolts in the kit. I did not touch the lower mounts at all. It gives another 3/8" or so of clearence so the bags will fit with the tour pack. Good luck.
