Tuner/Tuning questions?
« on: June 03, 2010, 05:33:30 PM »

I have a 2010 SEUC. I picked up a Ventilator Air Cleaner (not installed), a Fullsac (B) exhaust pipe (not installed) and Jackpot mufflers with dyno tuned baffles (installed). Can I install the X-pipe without having a tuner? I'm looking at the TTS but with being out of work for a few months this winter and paying for a wedding in August I don't quite have the extra cash right now to spend on the tuner and tuning. I will hold off on the air cleaner for now but would like to get the factory cat pipe off there now that summer is here. I got good deals on all the parts, thats why I got them,  but can't spare around $800.00 for the tuning. How many hours does it take for a TTS dyno tune install? Thanks.

There really is nothing to install in the sense of bolting on parts.  It is a matter of programming the current ECU.  Installing the software and connecting the laptop to the bike via the cables and dongle takes about 30 minutes.  Now learning and v-tuning takes a while but is fairly intuitive.

I can install the exhaust and air cleaner. The guy doing the dyno tune wants $395.00 for the TTS and $450.00 for dyno tuning. I'm not much for the computer programming part of it. On my race car I set the carb fat then tune down on the jets. Fuel injection is greek to me. Can I hurt anything by just putting the pipes on now?

I wouldn't install those on my bike without a tuner and a map.
