Thought I was smart and sent it to PJ for the customized locks for the front pockets of the FLHTSECU3 ... lost in the mail ... bummers ... My bad for thinking an envelope would hold all the way to Minnesota ... Aloha ...

I have had all of the locks on all of the doors in my house and all of my vehicles changed to barrel locks so that I can open them all with the Golden Key. I then purchased a golden chain to hang the golden key around my neck so that I am never without it. Problem is, the golden key seems to change colors when exposed to perspiration and showers. The gold chain does not. What gives????

My wife and I each have a coveted 'Gold (in color) Key' for our CVO RK's.  Since they are truly worthless mementos of marketing nonsense...(seriously, we have tried to feel 'special' about being a CVO owner..it turns out that it's the bikes that are special)...we said 'screw it' and use the darn things as our primary keys.

I put it on with my key fob and use it.  You have worked hard to buy a CVO and the decorative is part of the package, use and enjoy it. I was the same way storing it in the dresser drawer until my buddy who owns two CVO's told me why keep it nice and save for the next guy, unless you are planning to keep your CVO forever.

And why ....... even then?  Use mine as the primary bike key and it's holding up well........still looks like fool's gold. ;D  har.  spyder

My wife demanded I keep it in it's little box on the shelf with other collectible goodies and trinkets.

I did this for first fortnight.

I know use it everyday as my normal day 2 day key. Screw it. It's not doing much in a sock drawer.
