was going down intersate 72 mph with cruise on and all of a sudden the motor acted like it was running about half way on 1 cylinder.i pulled over and didnt even get all the way stopped and it started running fine. hasnt never acted up before and has run good ever since. what do you guys think.2004 punkin 32000 miles thanks in advance.

No way to know.  And almost anything.  Bit of something passing through an injector.  Loose injector plug.  Fuel filter starting to plug.  And darn near anything else.  Transient episodes are difficult to do a lot with until they're no longer transient.  Did it throw a code?

Sure.  Could be just about anything.  An 04 with 32k miles though.  It's probably never had a gas filter changed.  So that'd be my first bet.  Would hope for something simpler like a bit of muck quickly passing through an injector or maybe a injector plug loose.  But.....

Pressurized fuel from the pump follows a plastic accordion looking(convoluted) tube to the chrome connector that you see on the outside.  Many cases have been reported where the hose is not tied down and eventually it wears a hole the lets the pressurized gas back into the tank, starving the injectors in high volume situations.
