Key won't unlock trunk with remote button on 2010 SEUC
« on: June 19, 2010, 04:47:24 PM »

Within the last week my key won't unlock the trunk with the remote button on my 2010 SEUC. Was working fine until this week. Checked both keys and they don't work. Any ideas?

From what you've written is it correct to assume that the keys do everything else and everywhere else they're supposed to?  And that everything else works?

If so you've already isolated to something to or within the tour pak.  The motor to drive the lock isn't itself wireless.  So you're looking at a failed motor, a lock mechanism that's hung up somehow or a wiring problem somewhere after the wiring to the tour pak separates from the wiring to the saddlebags.

Most often the little hook catching the lock on the inside of the tourpak was moved, e. g. by luggage, out of the proper position. Look at that and adjust.

Ride safely,
