2010 FLSTSE exhaust questions
« on: August 13, 2010, 12:29:05 AM »

??? I'm as confused as I can be. Here is my situation. I've read everything I can on here and elsewhere about exhaust, and tuning. No doubt there are some very intelligent tuners and avid performance specialists, whose opinion I have come to respect. I JUST HATE THAT POP, POP, POP SOUND that my stock FLSTSE makes! I'm also HIGHLY CONCERNED by the fact that I'm hitting "Parade Mode" regularly while in town. I'm going to order the TTS Mastertune to address the heat issue, mainly due to the fact that I have two bikes to maintain and I love to do my own wrenching. I have a set of Rush Slip ons on my '08 FXDF and I love that sound. I like the looks of the V&H Big Radius, but realize that no dual exhaust is gonna give me the performance I'm looking for. Plus that fact now that since Steve Coles post concerning O2 bungs and sensors in "Exhaust Issues" has me about scared off. Fullsac only makes pipes for Baggers so that's not an option. I'm about ready to just order some Rush slip-ons and wait this one out until someone comes out with a sure-fire performance exhaust for my FLSTSE! I'm the kinda guy that likes some Bang for my Buck and 6,7,8 hundred dollars for pipes is alot of money for me. Question: Where exactly is the CAT located on my bike? In the HEADPIPE? Or the engine side of the slip-on mufflers?
