Compression Release Size ?

I am running a set of the Screamin Eagle CNC Ported Heads and I need to install a compression release in the pre drilled location in the rear head does any one know what the thread size of this hole is ? a friend gave me a brand new release but it is too big (thread size) for the hole in the head it appears to be the same size as the spark plug. What size do I have and what is the best release to use ?
