trade the bike now while you still have the good riding season.that is what i did.YOU CAN BUY A NEW BIKE FASTER THAN THEY CAN FIX YOURS.my 09 road glide had a bad crank.the told me 1 month to get parts and fix.i said who want a new bike that has the motor torn apart in july,NOT ME.i traded the bike for a 09 serg.best thing i did.my old 09 rg was down 2 months before they got it right.it may cost you more money but in the long run you will be better off.

UPDATE:

Saturday, after 4 long weeks, I got the bike back.

100% complete new front and rear cylinders - complete new top half of engine - new header pipe (with the C.C. - I need to work on that), and more.

So...............
On Saturday, I took to the country for some peaceful riding (no hard throttle) - 5 hours later and 250 miles I finally made it home.  - WITH A BIG OLE SMILE.
On Sunday, Mrs HG and I set out for an antique boat and bike show in Russell Point, Ohio - after a great day of riding and seeing, we made it home with 400 more miles. - AGAIN WITH A BIG OLE SMILE.

No problems......... not even one PING - wooooo hoooooo.

BTW - The engine was 100% under warranty (I have 20,000 miles, and the bike is 18 months old).  Also, I got a new front tire, new front brakes and rear brakes as part of the repair - at NO COST - PLUS., the 1,000 oil change will be FREE.

But, I did loose 4 weeks of prime Northern riding season. - darn......

BUT............. I am once again A HAPPY CVO OWNER...

Glad it worked out.  If you read all the forum problems with the 110's where is the dependability/reliability?
Have there been any that are trouble free?

Yes! My wife (Softhog) has an 08 CVO Springer with 13,000 plus trouble free miles. My 08 CVO Springer, on the other hand, is an entirely different tale of woe!
