Alarm quit working
« on: October 29, 2010, 10:52:19 PM »

09 fat bob cvo. No chirp no noise. Blinkers still flash and bike wont start without the key. It worked last week. I cant find anything on the web and the dealer is baffled. Where and what would the siren look like on this bike. Looked under the seat and on pulled the side cover. I cant find anything the resembles an arm. Help?

You will have to remove the left side cover (couple of allen head bolts if I remember correctly) to gain access to the electrical caddy.  The siren is tucked into a slot at the bottom of the caddy.  The best I could do for a picture is the exploded drawing attached, hopefully it will help.

Too bad ex girlfiends didn't come with manuals explaining how to take them out of chirping mode!

If there was a manual then they probably wouldn't be "ex-girlfriends". :nixweiss: :D

Dont tell anyone but it turned out washing the bike with the seat off filled the siren with water. Dealer gave me a new one. Shhh.
Why did I wash without the seat was because it takes for ever for the Alcantara material to dry. Got a mustang seat coming, that should solve the problem.
