Bare feet?  Not quite... Those are actually Beatle Boots (you remember those don't you Twolane?) he has on, and yes, there's a funny story that goes with this news...

When we arrived back home after our exciting evening, as I was putting the bikes away in their stables I noticed a scuff mark across the top of the rear fender and thought, damn!  Wondering where it came from and couldn't for the life of me figure it out... We've always been so careful with this bike and it only gets ridden on the best of days.  As a matter of fact, the only time this bike has ever been ridden in the rain was going to see Paul, twice!  Well, with Paul and my wife both being English I guess it is to be expected!!!

Anyway, during our little meet & greet with Sir Paul I had my video camera rolling as well as taking still shots with my digital 35m.  After we got to the computer and plugged in the camera to view the video we noticed that when Paul was putting his leg over as he got on the bike, his boot scuffed the fender.  I told my wife that it shouldn't take much to buff it out... She quickly said, "you'll do nothing of the sort, just leave it as it is, afterall Paul's Beatle boot made that mark!"

So, I guess it will remain there as another memento.

The question is.......do you clear coat the rear fender also??????
