« on: August 09, 2010, 04:26:32 AM »

Got home from the Middle East yesterday and installed Steve's fullsac x-pipe, 2" power cores, and his map. Man it is a totally different bike. The power band through out the gear change is awesome. Thank you Steve, your are the Man and a man of is word. You told me I would be well pleased and I am defintely pleased.

Hey, welcome home.

Yes, join the club of happy Fullsac customers. I too have the x pipe, 2.25" baffles, and TTS with Fullsac map, and she runs great. I took it in for a custom dyno tune, and after running it on the dyno and reading the AFR, the dyno tech said to save my money, as he likely couldn't improve it much over the TTS map.

Its great being able to support a smaller shop and get great customer service in return. Not an easy feat these days.

Glad to hear about the performance improvement. What kind of affect did the 2.25" cores and the X pipes have on the rumble factor?
How about the heat coming off the CAT at the crossover point? I find the heat bouncing up to the underside of my thigh unsatisfactory on the stock setup on my '11 FLTRUSE.

Thanks
Simon

DH,
My wife is stationed in ABQ, next time I ride down there, I'll let you know, and you can check out the xpipe and 2" cores. Not sure when that will be, but  I'll let you know.

IMO, not bad rumble wise, but could be better. Very subjective though- some think this setup is too loud, while I think I could use a bit more sound. Rode with a buddy yesterday that has a 2009 Ultra Classic, all stock except for Samson slip ons, and I think his bike sounds better than mine. They are real deep and throaty. Actually, I may consider the Samsons- I was just checking out their website, and they have lots of sound clips. They also have 4" cans....I heard their quality used to suck, but I think they have improved. If they sound that good on a stock 96", they'd sound awesome on my 110" with x pipe, plus they would be different, as not many people run them.

I say that, but since our bikes exhaust exit out the rear, we don't get a good sense of what the bike sounds like from the riders seat- I should get someone to ride it and do some drive by's so that I can get a better sense of how it sounds going by.
