FLHRSEI King Tour Pack
« on: March 04, 2006, 06:42:17 PM »

A friend of a friend of mine is looking for a king tour pack for his '02 cvo road king (candy brandy wine). Does the MoCo offer a painted to match king pack for this bike? Has anybody painted one to match?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Grover

Grover,
I don't believe the MOCO offered Tour-Pak's for '02 SERK,'s due to the paint issues. But you can still get the Centennial Gold Tour-Pak's for '03 SERK in the MOCO catalog today. I've seen some painted to match the purple '02's  and asked a few that I know with them and they had them done outside after buying primed tour-paks. May be wrong, but that's what I recall.

You can always try to cheat a little.  I bought a paint matched lid on ebay for my 05 Cherry Bomb (one benny $$,  good deal with the graphics included), and a 2001 Ultra bottom (two bennies),  and I figure $250.00 to have the bottom painted solid cherry at a local painter.  So $550 later,  I have a paint matched King Ultra pack.......It takes a little time to find the right deal,  but they're out there.......Good luck,  I'm an ebay hound,  if I see one listed or any parts for one,  I'll post here to let you know......

All the best,

I'd just buy a used one and have it painted-save yourself a lot of money.  But the Candy Brandywine---I've got a friend with an 87 with Candy Brandywine, and he get's irate if we call my wife's new Deluxe, Candy Brandywine!!!  He claims they only had that color one year.  He's probably right.  The wife's deluxe is called, I believe, Brandywine, but not Candy.   [smiley=confused5.gif]
BTW, he bought a used one and had it painted to match his paint and you couldn't tell it from factory paint.
