I caught the last 20 laps of the race televised Sunday. What race was I watching?

That was a re-run of Thursday's 125 mile race - qualifying

The race is now scheduled for 7pm Monday night.  After months of almost no rain, Florida is getting very wet!

If one is to trust the weather gods it looks like they're being optimistic planning to run today.  Especially if you allow for a longer time than normal to dry the track after the sun starts to set.  Tomorrow's forecast looks much better though.

Probably one of the earlier races from this speed-week.  One of the 150 mile races.  They should have  imposed note to that effect to keep from fooling us, huh?   :drink:  spyder

What a race, Kennsith takes it.. I wished Earnhardt woulda been one more lap desperate then he was. He woulda won if he passed Biffle one lap earlier than he did.. Oh well, hind site would make us all winners  :P.... .

So here is my next question....  Who is taking the points lead by race #6 ???   I'll pick Jr. On this one  :2vrolijk_21:

I think Biffle was riding the brakes to keep Junior far enough back so that he couldn't pass them both!  I can't believe the 16 never once made a move for the lead.  It's the Daytona 500 for cryin' out loud!  It should have been all three of them going across the line together.

I was concerned about rain delays so told the box to record for 9 hours from the start time.  Who'd have thought the big delay would be a blown up jet engine?  Watching the drivers hang around was a good part of the coverage too.

The 2012 Joie Chitwood 500 Stunt Show would be the appropriate pick!  ;)

The Chitwood show was a regular for me way back when Dorney Park had a track. My grand parents took me every year.

Joey Chitwood III works for NASCAR. I don't think the thrill show is still in operation. I still have one of the coins they used to sell at the shows.
