I finally received the Thundermax TBW tuner and associated V&H exhaust (power duals and monster rounds) for my 2010 SESG. After installation per instructions, I started the bike and it barely ran and only if I opened the throttle a bit. Something was obviously not right, so I shut it down and rechecked installation and looked into troubleshooting section of TMax manual. It talks about making sure O2 sensor calibration reads 19.36 after 10 seconds. My sensors are stuck at 9.30, which I think is the default value for the AFR on the TMax tuner. The tuner is reading temperature and throttle position but doesn't seem connected to the O2 sensors. The diagnostic codes all look good.
I triple checked all connections and I can feel O2 sensors heat up after about 10 seconds or so.
I did find one thread on the web where a guy had the same issue, but he had an older tuner and had not hooked up power through the diagnostic cable. I don't think the same thing can happen here.
Any thoughts over the weekend before I call Zippers on Monday?
I think I'm jinxed on this install. It took me 3 months to get the monster rounds and power duals. After installing the power duals, it turned out that the right side header was oversized and I couldn't slip the muffler on. V&H sent me a new set, but that took another week...and now the TMax issue. The bike has been on the lift for 2 weeks and I'm getting cranky!!!!
