I know the feeling man.  Have had bouts of stones several times.  It's like passing a propeller driven aircraft on a slow taxi with the prop at a high RPM.  And that's the good part that lasts until the roto rooter becomes necessary for retrieval.  Feel better.  Drink a lot of water and walk slow or ride fast.  But feel better.

Skippy,
Hate to hear you had to deal with an extraction!  8mm, ouch!  Been there three times already and don't want to ever go there again!  Passed one at nearly 6mm, but the other two weren't as cooperative and required more invasive methods!  Good luck with the recovery and keep the fluids going.

Just an FYI.  There are metric measures and then there kidney stone metric measures.  Not the same thing.  An 8mm stone is actually about this (----------(*&^%*&^*------------) big.  The following is an actual medical imaging of an 8mm stone in the process of being passed.

And this is an actual image of a stone once it has passed.

Let's see 6 cm is about half an inch, so 8mm is one thousanth of a time smaller. So this is one is thousand times smaller than a little over half an inch? THAT's HUGE when considering the plumbing. Don's pics appear accurate! :2vrolijk_21:

The only thing that felt better than passing a stone was the morphine/demerol cocktail.  At least for me.   ;D

Skippy,

I'd passed 85 Kidney stones over a course of three years.  During the same time I had 1 heart attack.  I'd gladly switch and have 85 heart attacks to 1 kidney stone if I knew I'd survive them.  Actually, when I was having the stones I wished I would just die and get it over with.

Good luck and I hope it's one and done for you.

Ride Safe,
J-Carr
