Kuryakyn driver floorboard relocator brackets?
« on: August 21, 2010, 04:24:13 PM »

I know I saw a thread with pics on these. Do they fit the 2010 SESG? I'm finding that nothing fits - where the brackets connect to the arms, the kit screw is too long (pic below), so they don't tighten,
and where the boards connect to the bracket, the gap is almost 1/4" (next pic) - you'd need at least four washers in there. Tried using the original screw (instead of kit screw) to connect brackets to the arms, this worked, but the kit screw is too long to connect the boards to the brackets. No matter which screw I use at the board end, the boards move around on the unthreaded shaft.
If you have em I hope this all rings some bells...

out there?! any tips?
Thanks - JB

pic of the board/bracket connection. hard to see, but the unthreaded part of the bolt is too long.

The brackets you are tryingto use are junk.  Go to www.bakercustominc.com and order the SE board extenders, they work much better.  They extend the bracket, not the board.

Well I got them on but I remain a little skeptical. The right side fit a lot more snugly than the left (the arms are different, at least on mine).
I will say it's incredibly comfortable  :2vrolijk_21:
Here are some pics. This one gives a sense of how they fit. here's a lot more exposed hardware, that's one downer, and the arms themselves are more visible.

Here's a view from underneath. Would all that wiggle room on the front one bug you?

Lots of leg room now!  :pepper:

The kit jgeisler recommends above (www.bakercustominc.com) is apparently made to fit CVOs, maybe a better fit. I'll let you know if they come flying off!

I just put these on my street glide, and I have to say, they are pretty gaff. They tell you to use the small washers if there is any fitment issues. I used all the washers and still cannot make the bolts any tighter to where there is no movement. They fold up now instead of staying down.

Go tho the vendor discount section on this site and you'll see a vendor "harleygoodies". These are the best!!!! Quality is unmatched and cuatomer service is great. You also get a discount. I've installed 2 sets of these and they are perfect.

Did U tighten up the Allen set screws that lock the extenders against the floorboards?
