New Harley LED turn signals
« on: September 19, 2010, 06:44:21 PM »

Has anyone tried these yet?  I looked at the directions and they don't seem very clear, especially the rear ones. If you already have the LED fender tip light it uses the spot for one of the wires (red/yellow) and does not give alternate wiring instructions. Any suggestions or do you just use a butt splice?

Greetings bigdog.  We were up your way in July and had an evening and a morning in Halifax.  Just wish it could have been longer because we really , really like your town.  Going to have to go back and spend some time.  But I gotta tell you that those bridges and a buck each way to cross are a PIA.  But I've gotta say that they both are extraordinarily beautiful.

Hi Ultra. Glad you enjoyed your trip.  There is lots to do in the area and certainly some good day trips on back roads.  Hope you make it back soon.
Ride safe!

Do you have a part # or link.  I don't know the answer to your question but I'm interested in the lights.

BD, it appears from you avatar that you're on a SEUC². If that is the case, you don't have a fender light. The fender tip wire, which is hot with key on, is blue in color and not used. It most likely has a connector on the end of the wire.

I actually have  an ultra firefighter special edition.  I replaced the stock rear fender tip light with the LED brake/running light. It now uses the center wire (red/yellow).  I believe I can just splice them together to make the new turn signals work correctly.
