Was coming home last night from a ride to the mountians. As dusk fell, we stopped in Dillwyn, VA for ice cream (had to do something while waiting for dark). 2 motorcycles passed as we were gearing up to leave. 3 blocks later, we came upon this scene. A 15 year old driver with a learners permit was driving the car. Made a left turn into the bike, pushing her thru the intersection. The husband of the rider was in a car behind her, he stopped, and started backing up to help his wife, hitting (just barely) the motorcyclist behind him. It was quite a scene, the young driver was wailing - "Oh My God, I hurt someone - I didn't see her". A State Trooper was stopped at the light and saw the whole thing happen, so help was immediate. The father of the driver looked more like her grandfather, was wandering around, and kept trying to go back to the car. Trooper finally cuffed him and put him in the crusier. When we left, the rider was awake, but was pretty banged up. I suspect some broken bones and major brusing. They got her away before she got burned.
