Fog/running lights for Ultra
« on: September 03, 2010, 11:06:53 AM »

I have an '07 Ultra Classic and am interested in additional lighting to the front. I am considering running or fog lights and would likt to install to the guards outside of the lowers. Has anyone done something similar?

Check out moto-lights, best bang for the buck. Mount on fork legs, on the top brake caliper bolt. Once you try them, you won't ride without.

This isn't a great picture but all I have at hand.  These are the Piaa 1100X Platinum.  These are great lites, small but very bright & they fit nicely on the crash bars by the lowers.  They are mounted with the Harley 3 piece clamp.  Let me know if you want better pictures.  They come complete with relay, switch cables.  Easy to install & the switch fits perfect against the edge of the left handlebar switch set.

I agree Motolights are great!

I like the fact that the Motolights move up and down with the lower forks on the road and are separated somewhat from the headlight. If you look at a set of lights close together from a distance they blend together and oncoming drivers have more trouble gauging your distance but these don't blend into one.

Motolights!!!  Saw them from about a half mile away (maybe more).  I'm sold and getting them.

I also just installed Motolights on the calipers of my 2004 SE Ultra. I have been riding Harleys for 40 years and I will never own one again without Motolights!! These things are amazing. I got the 50 watt bulbs and you can see me coming from a half mile away!!  I also just ordered a Bright ass tail light.
