2011 SESG2 110"....is the 58mm TB Worth it?
« on: August 22, 2010, 07:16:39 PM »

anyone have any hp/tq examples of going from the stock CVO 50mm TB up to the 58mm TB?

we're gonna work the heads more, go with high compression pistons, TR590 cams, VH Dresser Duals and Hi Outputs with a SERT and dyno tune............wondering what the 58MM TB will add in terms of hp and torque.

I do not have an example of the stock 50mm v 58mm. However, I sent my stock 50mm to HPI for their conversion to a 54mm. http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=41033.0
Reply #46 is the dyno comparing the 54mm to the SE 58mm. The HPI 54mm is a good alternative and cheaper in the long run. JMO. Good luck with your build.

What I lost in tq. (1 1/2 lb.) was quite acceptable for the 22 hp gain ! (in my built 110) !I went from a 46 mm to a 58mm---I have an FXDFSE !  Good trade, in my book !
My build was similiar to what you are doing !
