Fob not Disarming Alarm
« on: October 03, 2010, 11:53:07 AM »

Hello,

My 2008 FXDSE2 came with 2 fob's. The one I always use was not turning the alarm off so i grabbed the other and the same thing. I changed the battery in both items with the + sign down as the owners guide states to do. The same performance from both. I can turn it off with my security code. Its Sunday and the dealer's service department is not opened. What is going on? Is this common? I still love her (the Dyna) I think she is just acting up.
Thanks for any words of wisdom.

Don't have my manual right beside me but isn't there a synchronization that has to be done when the battery is changed? :nixweiss:

I have an 08 FXDSE2 also. I change the battery in my fob every year and just go start the bike, no synchronization needed. I hope what ever is wrong it is something simple.

Its working! I think it was just me and a big brainfart. My 2002 FXDWG used to give 2 chirps after disarming and I was expecting hear those. But my FXDSE2 is set to be silent when disarming.... thus nor chirps. I feel foolish.
No syncing was invoved for them to work .... they just worked. Thanks for all the help.
