Hey there,

I do love the ride of my 2008 CVO Springer and I wanted to see if anyone has ridden the same bike with a 21" skinny front wheel instead of the 18" fat wheel.

I can appreciate it will be a little different however I have been told that the 21" on the front on my bike will not turn safely and may cause serious under steer therefore becoming a very dangerous exercise.

I'm sold on the look of the 21" but need to know if anyone has expereinced the difference?

See if you can find a member down there with an '07. Put your bike side by side with it and you will see the differences in front end geometry. When H-D changed to the 18" inch front tire they also changed the rake and trail to make it work. In order to safely go to a 21" wheel on an '08 the steering head and forks would need to be changed back to the '07 specs.
I know the '08 looks a little "stodgy" with no rake in the front and the little wheel but are you willing to risk your life just to look better? If you find an '07 maybe trade with the guy!
I realize this is not what you want to hear but you really need to think this through all the way.

Added a 21" to my 06 Street Bob and haven't looked back since!
I have been to Florida a couple of times from NC with it on and
off the main highways and have about 7k miles on the AVON tire
which has more than half its life left.
Not the same bike as you have but thought the input might help
you out,
